This document collects observations, questions, and small write-ups (sometimes in Tibetan) about the journey of learning Tibetan. It’s quite personal, so the diary will be about my daily life and don’t expect it to be exciting considering the beginner stage I am still at 😆. It’s more for people that have similar level to see my struggles or realizations.
Language Questions
As Tibetan language questions arise arise I write them on this shared (with other class mates and course staff) Google Doc and you are welcome do contribute by adding more or answering them. If you see a 🤔 in this document it also expresses doubt and needs to be checked with needs-teacher.
I am following Franziska Oertle’s The Heart of Tibetan Language material, which I found to be the best for Colloquial Tibetan. Check the official website for the books and online courses offered.
Find the structured notes from the book in The Heart of Tibetan Language knowing those are personal notes that might confuse you unless you have read the book first with the clear examples and natural flow of explanation. Those are distilled notes for me and my friends learning along with that course.
