Tenderness does not have the layers of delusion of anger and attachment, but it might be imbued with ignorance. Are we saying tenderness in the sense of something we want to protect because it’s vulnerable, innocent, devoid of negative aspects, is what we should direct ourselves towards? Wouldn’t that be a puer aeternus symptom?
